1. Description of the Service
The “SilvAct” service platform provided by FOREST TRAINERS Oy enables users to manage, review, and produce information, content, and digital services related to forestry, training, and operational activities.
These Terms of Use apply between the service provider, FOREST TRAINERS Oy (the “Provider”), and a company or organisation member or a private individual (the “User”) regarding the use of content and materials produced within the Service and made available through the mobile application and software.
Services offered through the platform may be free or paid. Paid services will be indicated separately.
By logging into or using the Service, the User accepts and agrees to comply with these Terms of Use. The User must carefully review these terms before using the Service.

3. Right of Use
Only natural persons may register as Users of the Service. Access to sections requiring login is personal and may not be transferred to third parties.
The Provider reserves the right to refuse registration.
All rights related to the Service, including copyrights and other intellectual property rights, belong to the Provider. The User may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise exploit the Service or its content without the Provider’s permission.
4. Registration and Deletion of Personal Data
Use of the Service requires registration.
The User registers via the application and accepts these Terms of Use during registration.
Personal data provided to the Service will be stored for a maximum of 24 months from the last active use. If the User has not been active during this period, the Provider has the right to request an update of the data or delete it.

The data controller is FOREST TRAINERS Oy.
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation.
The User has the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data by contacting the Provider via email.
6. User Responsibilities
The User is responsible for:
- obtaining necessary devices, software, and connections
- securely storing their usernames and passwords
- all use carried out under their credentials
The User agrees to:
- provide accurate and up-to-date information
- not publish unlawful, offensive, or harmful content
- comply with Finnish law and good practice
The Service may not be used for copyright infringement or any other unlawful activities.
7. Provider Responsibilities
The Provider aims to offer a functional and high-quality Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Provider has the right to:
- remove inappropriate content
- restrict or block access to the Service
- modify the content and functionality of the Service
Information presented in the Service does not constitute binding instructions or professional advice.
The Provider is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service or errors within it.
8. Data Security
The Provider ensures the security of the Service using generally accepted practices.
Data may be stored in cloud services within the EU.

9. Validity of Terms
These Terms of Use are valid indefinitely from 26 March 2026.
The Provider reserves the right to modify these terms. Changes will be announced within the Service, and the User must accept the updated terms to continue using the Service.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.
If no agreement is reached, disputes shall be settled in the Oulu District Court in accordance with Finnish law.
